Last weekend we made lasagna for our friends. Instead of buying anything already prepared, Markus and I always have fun making it from scratch. Well, we didn’t make the pasta. Once I get my Kitchen Aid we will be able to make the pasta, too. We used this recipe:

But instead of using canned tomatoes, we used fresh.

The sauce consisted of what we had in the fridge at the time. Of course onions and tomatoes, but we also added carrots, red bell peppers, celery, and parsley to the ground beef and ground pork.  

The white sauce included various cheeses (ricotta, parmesan, etc) and eggs mixed.
